Pensacola Beach Elementary School is an “A” School
The Florida School Recognition Program provides public recognition and financial awards to schools that have sustained high student performance or schools that demonstrate substantial improvement in student performance.
Schools receiving an “A” performance grade or schools improving at least one performance grade category from the previous year are eligible for recognition and financial awards. Each recognized school will receive $100 per full–time equivalent (FTE) student based on last year’s enrollment. Pensacola Beach Elementary has received an “A” ranking for several years in a row.

Five Star School Award
PBES has received the Five Star School Award each year since 1998. We are one of only sixteen schools in the district to achieve this status and we are looking forward to retaining.
The Five Star School Award was established by the Florida Commissioner of Education. This award recognizes schools with exemplary student involvement. It is believed that active involvement of parents, businesses, and other community members is vital to the success of a school.
This is an annual award, and must be renewed each year. Each school is evaluated against twenty-six criteria in five major categories: Business Partnership, Family Involvement, Volunteers, Student Community service, and School Advisory Councils.
