<p>There’s going to be a party, and all new computers are the purpose.</p>
<p>Pensacola Beach Elementary School is planning its annual Fall Festival, a family friendly event complete with carnival games, entertainment and plenty of food and beverages to keep the crowds satisfied.</p>
<p>Organizer Carla Seeker says the event will be on Friday, Oct. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pensacola Beach Elementary School parking lot.</p>
<p>Bounce houses, caramel apples, cotton candy and popcorn will be on the menu as well as food from Portofino Boardwalk restaurant, Laguna’s.</p>
<p>The public is invited to attend this free event, which will also include a Halloween costume contest for the kids.</p>
<p>Funds raised will help Pensacola Beach Elementary improve their technology by replacing out of date computers in the classrooms and the computer lab. to donate cash or prizes to the event, call Carla Seeker at 384-7066.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>At first glance, a casual observer might never imagine that Jennifer Magee once was an airtraffic controller in the U.S. Air Force.</p>
<p>Indeed, Magee once toiled in control towers high above runways, directing airplanes to and from their assorted assignments.</p>
<p>These days, Magee is a traffic controller of a different sort. She is the office manager at Pensacola Beach Elementary Charter School. Her responsibilities, however, aren’t that much different than they were during her Air Force days.</p>
<p>“She juggles many responsibilities and keeps us all on track,” Principal Jeff Castleberry said earlier this week.</p>
<p>“Not only does she manage the office and keep up with tons of paperwork, she is also the school nurse. And when I’m away on business, she even serves as the assistant principal.</p>
