Fourth Grade

Ms. McLeod is our 4th Grade teacher.

Welcome to Fourth Grade!  It is such a privilege to teach at the best school on the gulf coast!  PBES is comprised of  exceptional teachers and staff, supportive parents, and eager, enthusiastic students who work diligently to “always do their best”. It is truly “paradise” out here at the beach.

This year the fourth graders will be rotating to Mrs. Pitts for Math and Mrs. MacLaurine for Science.  I will be teaching language arts to 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.  Florida history is our primary study for Social Studies and most of our field trips are based on learning more about Florida.  My reading plan includes a variety of literature, reading groups and reading buddies.

Each year the fourth graders “buddy” with a student from the kindergarten class. We enjoy lunch, writing, reading and holiday activities with our kindergarten buddies.  The fourth graders also buddy with second graders for writing activities.

Fourth graders are fun, fabulous and fascinating.  I just love my job!

Cordially,
Susan McLeod
