She took a leave of absence for 6 years from teaching to celebrate the birth of her son, Reddon, who was also a student at PBES. She has been employed at PBES since 2004 as the School Counselor, Special Education teacher, and the 3rd grade teacher. She loves being back in the 3rd grade classroom and teaching Science to the 3rd and 4th graders. Mrs. McLaurine believes that “nothing is worth more than this day”.

About Ms. Brothers
Hello all! My name is Lacie Brothers and I can’t wait to see what this year holds in 3rd Grade at PBES. I am 25 years old, I have a rescue beagle named Penny Lane, and I currently live on Pensacola Beach. My parents are both educators, as well as a host of many other family members, so it’s becoming the family business!
I attended all of the Gulf Breeze schools and recently graduated from the University of South Alabama with dual certifications in Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education. My favorite subject to teach is Language Arts, specifically writing.
I am excited for my first year teaching at Pensacola Beach Elementary School and look forward to many years as a Sandpiper!
