About Us
Pensacola Beach Elementary School, awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award in 2007 and 2018, is located on beautiful Santa Rosa Island. PBES has consistently been a top-performing school in the state. In 2010, the state of Florida officially recognized PBES as a “High Performing School”, and in 2017 the state of Florida designated PBES a “School of Excellence”.PBES utilizes evidence-based practices aligned to Florida state standards, differentiated instruction, responsive classroom environments, and research-based instruction to provide a high-quality educational program.Educating the “whole child” is the essence of our mission. We serve students in kindergarten through fifth-grade. After completing Fifth Grade at the Beach School, most children attend Middle and High School in nearby Gulf Breeze which is part of the Santa Rosa County School District. PBES works in partnership and collaborates with Escambia County Public Schools as our sponsor.
